Hatanpää Arboretum: Botanical Garden in Tampere, Finland

Hatanpaa Arboretum (Finnish: Hatanpää arboretum) is a botanical garden located 3 kilometers away from the centre of Tampere, southern Finland.


Five interesting facts about the arboretum:

  • The construction of the garden started in 1971.
  • The planting started in 1973.
  • It contains more than 500 plant species.
  • The Latin and Finnish name of each plant is written on the label attached to the plant.
  • Most of the plants in the garden are indigenous to the Tampere area, but there are also more exotic and rare species.

  1. OMGoodness, I would be so thrilled there. Over 500 different kinds of plants would take me days to look at and write down the names of the ones I found most beautiful. I adore the Rose Rosita, the Rose Rhapsody in Blue, the Rose Acapella and the Purple Coneflower. Thanks for sharing your visit to the Hatanpaa Arboretum!

  13. Truth be told, in my town there is a yearly 'mystery gardens' day where nearby individuals open up their gardens for anybody to come and take a pinnacle.blue pool
